Key Responsibilities
  • Validate analytical methods and assist with non-routine testing
  • Ensure methods are efficient and effective, in line with UKAS 17025 standards
  • Troubleshoot analytical instruments and resolve technical issues
  • Interpret and report on complex analytical data
  • Collaborate with the Quality Manager to monitor proficiency testing schemes
  • Provide technical support and represent ALS in external technical groups
Requirements
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant scientific field
  • Significant experience of ICP instrumentation
  • Significant experience in method development and validation
  • Strong background in laboratory or technical environments, with proficiency in handling new instrumentation
  • Knowledge of proficiency testing schemes and quality management systems
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to critically evaluate scientific data and drive process improvements
