About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Body Electronics Engineer to join our team at Expleo Engineering UK Limited. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing body electrical modules, collaborating with suppliers, and developing component-level requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage one or more body electrical modules, ensuring timely component releases on the Bill of Materials (BoM).
  • Collaborate with suppliers to develop and prepare body modules for production, ensuring timely component releases on BoM.
  • Create timing plans for body modules, taking into account production schedules and component availability.
  • Develop component-level requirements with suppliers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Test modules on Labcar and vehicles, identifying and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Diagnose vehicle faults in engineering and field settings, using your expertise to identify root causes and implement solutions.
Essential Experience and Attributes
  • 10+ years of experience with body control modules for an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
  • Deep understanding of body control functions and the Vehicle Development Cycle (V-cycle).
  • Proficient in the vehicle development process, with a strong knowledge of electrical systems and component-level requirements.
  • Skilled in writing requirements using Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools.
  • Ability to create detailed test plans, ensuring thorough testing and validation of body electrical modules.
  • Strong supplier management skills, with experience of working with multiple suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Knowledgeable in Functional Safety (FuSa) and Cyber-security, with a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
  • Effective stakeholder management, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Competent in diagnosing vehicle faults and supporting the 8D problem-solving process.
  • Familiar with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and other sign-off requirements.
  • Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and meeting facilitation skills, with experience of managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of providing clear status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Experienced with Vector CAN tools, with a strong understanding of CAN and ISO14229 diagnostics.
