Wood Machinist Apprentice

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Wood Machinist Apprentice to join our fast-paced Manufacturing team at our Lincoln House Woodmill site.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a rewarding career in wood manufacturing and make themselves at DFS. As a Wood Machinist Apprentice, you will play an integral part in shaping and manipulating timber into required pieces to assemble sofa frames.

Salary: The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

As a Wood Machinist Apprentice, your key responsibilities will include operating CNC machinery, working with various materials, and performing manual handling tasks. You will work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure high-quality production and meet customer demands.

Requirements:

• Good understanding of CNC machines and manufacturing processes
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently
• Strong communication skills and teamwork ethos
• Comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting
