Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Assembly Fixture Designer to join our team at the Institute of the Motor Industry Limited.

The successful candidate will have experience designing tools and fixtures for automotive assembly, with a focus on plastic and rubber moulds for vehicle components such as gearboxes, steering systems, powertrains, tyres, axles, and suspension systems.

A key responsibility of this role will be to design steel fabrication systems for bespoke assembly, requiring a strong understanding of press tools and moulds.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in tool design and fabrication
  • Strong understanding of PPAP and APQP
  • Excellent design skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Estimated salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum.
