Cloud Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Infrastructure team at Mattioli Woods plc. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure services
  • Deploy applications and services into Azure cloud environments
  • Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accurate throughout the migration phases
  • Provide support to the Service Desk and Cloud Administrators
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex issues
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in System Administration
  • Minimum 3 years' experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS
  • Strong experience with Entra ID, Storage Accounts, Resource Groups, and API manager
  • Strong network skills, specifically around Azure and vendor specialists
  • Good organisation, prioritisation, and communication skills
  • Good understanding of governance and review
  • Strong project management skills
  • Good design and documentation skills
  • Proactive recommendations for improvement on all systems
  • Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team
  • Calm, confident approach to problem management
