Job Description

Job Title: Behaviour Mentor - Kingston

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Kingston area

About the Role:

We are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join our team at Uniform Education. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work with students in a variety of settings, including schools and pupil referral units, to provide support and guidance to help them overcome challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students to redirect negative behaviours and promote positive engagement.
  • Implement strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement individualized behaviour plans.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers to support their social and emotional development.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in PRU settings is preferred, but not essential.
  • Training in subjects such as Conflict Resolution or Team Teach is valued.
  • Resilience and empathy to support students with diverse needs.
  • Ability to set clear boundaries and establish a structured learning environment.
  • Collaborative spirit to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to quickly form effective working relationships.
