Job Title: Assistant Site Manager

We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to support our site management team in delivering refurbishment projects within social housing environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction or refurbishment, excellent communication skills, and a strong desire to develop their career in site management.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the Site Manager with day-to-day supervision of internal and external refurbishment works, ensuring project milestones are met.
  2. Coordinate site activities, including subcontractors, materials, and deliveries, to ensure smooth site operations.
  3. Ensure all work is completed to required standards of quality and safety, reporting any issues or concerns to the Site Manager.
  4. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments and inspections as required.
  5. Manage site documentation, including daily diaries, method statements, and health & safety records.
  6. Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to maintain good communication and address concerns.
  7. Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks to site personnel.
  8. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized site environment.
  9. Manage site logistics and resources efficiently to avoid delays.
  10. Report regularly to the Site Manager on project progress, potential risks, and required adjustments.
Essential Requirements:
  1. Prior experience in a similar role within construction or social housing sector, preferably involving refurbishment projects.
  2. Familiarity with health and safety regulations and site procedures.
  3. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  4. Proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
  5. SMSTS or SSSTS certification or willingness to work towards it.
  6. NVQ Level 4 in Construction Site Supervision or equivalent (or willingness to work towards it).
  7. Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training.
  8. CSCS card and First Aid certification.

The successful candidate will be an Assistant Site Manager with an estimated salary of £38,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. Salary Range: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum
