About the Role

GKN Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled Fuel Cell Systems Technical Authority to lead the development and integration of fuel cell systems for our next-generation aircraft. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining the technical architecture and requirements for fuel cell systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other aircraft systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the technical architecture for fuel cell systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead the integration of fuel cell systems with other aircraft systems, including thermal management, electrical power, and propulsion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement fuel cell system designs, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain technical requirements and specifications for fuel cell systems, ensuring alignment with program objectives and customer needs.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members, ensuring the successful delivery of fuel cell system projects.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical, electrical, chemical engineering).
  • Proven experience in fuel cell system design, development, and integration, with a strong understanding of technical architecture and requirements.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Experience with regulatory requirements and industry standards for fuel cell systems.
