Salary:

Hourly Pay Rate: £37 per hour, based on a competitive rate for the location in South West London.

Job Description:

As a SEN Tutor, you will play a crucial role in delivering a bespoke educational plan in an engaging and meaningful way. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering KS2-4 Maths and English sessions with additional subjects according to your specialism
  • Providing a creative learning approach; incorporating a variety of activities based on the learners' interests to aid learning engagement
  • Demonstrating confidence and knowledge supporting children with SEND
  • Adhering to consistent fixed termly timetables with scheduled lesson times

  • Dedication to the overall academic development of the learners and support re-engagement in learning
  • Commitment to fixed termly timetables and ensuring lessons run as scheduled to provide a predictable and reliable provision which the learner deserves
  • Compassion and empathy, understanding that it hasn't always been an easy path travelled to this point for our learners
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree or strong youth work experience/qualification
  • Minimum 2 years teaching or mentoring SEN learners including ASD/ASC, ADHD & SEMH within SEND schools, youth groups or private settings
  • Enhanced DBS on the DBS Update system or self-fund the fee of £53.20
  • Competent understanding of safeguarding and uphold mandatory training
  • Ability to travel to outlined location
