About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Mechanical and Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team at Randstad Construction and Property in Slough, United Kingdom. As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of critical infrastructure within the facility.

Job Description:
  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
  2. Monitor and respond to alarms and alerts, resolving any issues that may arise.
  3. Conduct regular inspections and checks to identify potential hazards or malfunctions.
  4. Collaborate with the operations team to coordinate scheduled maintenance and shutdowns.
  5. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory.

Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a shift engineer in a data centre or similar environment.
  2. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, generators, UPS, and fire detection systems.
  3. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond promptly to emergencies.
  4. Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  5. Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends.

Salary and Benefits:
A competitive salary of £45,000 per annum (estimated based on location and industry standards), 20 days of annual leave, pension scheme, and opportunity to work in a newly developing data centre with state-of-the-art technology.
