We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Control and Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer to join our team at Rolls-Royce SMR. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership in the design, development, and implementation of C&I systems for our new type of nuclear power station.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement C&I system designs that meet the requirements of the project, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Lead a team of engineers in the design, development, and testing of C&I systems, providing technical guidance and oversight.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure that C&I systems are integrated with other plant systems and meet the functional performance capabilities of components and systems.
- Assess and substantiate that the design specification meets the requirements, ensuring that optimum solutions are provided for the RR SMR Nuclear Power Plant.
- Produce validation plans and define test plans to demonstrate that the C&I system requirements have been satisfied.
- Support the procurement, operations, and maintenance aspects of C&I systems, ensuring compliance against international standards.
- Contribute to the production of safety cases and provide support in liaising with regulators and independent nuclear safety assessors.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of [insert level of experience] experience in C&I system design and development, with a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
