Staff Nurse

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Assessment and Treatment Unit for adults with learning disabilities at Eastway in Chester. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to individuals with complex needs, working closely with other healthcare professionals to develop person-centred plans and achieve positive outcomes.
Main Responsibilities- Assess and plan care for individuals with learning disabilities, including those with complex needs and challenging behaviour
- Direct and manage the work of other team members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
- Support individuals in crisis, using your expertise and knowledge to provide a safe and supportive environment
- Maintain accurate and detailed records, ensuring compliance with governance and regulatory requirements
- Chair meetings and lead the team, using your analytical and judgemental skills to make informed decisions
- Deliver training to other professionals and services, sharing your expertise and knowledge to improve care and outcomes
- Registered Learning Disability or Mental Health Nurse qualification
- Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities, particularly those with complex needs and challenging behaviour
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with individuals, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to work autonomously, using your initiative and problem-solving skills to address complex issues
- Commitment to ongoing training and professional development, with a desire to stay up-to-date with best practice and research in the field
