Senior Legal Counsel - General Commercial

A leading Fintech company is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its team. As a key member of the Legal Team, you will advise on general commercial and transactional matters, working closely with the founders, C-suite, and business owners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice on commercial and strategic matters to various stakeholders and product owners.
  • Act as a key legal advisor to the Co-Founders, Board, C-Suite, and CFO on various legal matters.
  • Work alongside the General Counsel to advise on complex transactions, including capital raises and IPO readiness.
  • Lead commercial matters from start to finish and resolve issues that arise in existing deals.
  • Develop processes to scale the Legal Team in line with the business's growth.
  • Supervise and assist junior team members.

Requirements:

  • Qualified in England and Wales with at least 4 years post-qualification experience.
  • Strong commercial and advisory legal experience.
  • Experience working in-house at a Fintech company (preferred).
  • Experience executing transactions and overseeing junior lawyers.
  • Experience advising on share incentive schemes and company secretarial matters (preferred).
