Project Engineer

Claxton is a leading provider of subsea services, combining experienced project engineering with fast-track design and R&D capabilities. We deliver pragmatic, safe, and reliable solutions to our clients across a range of drilling riser systems, well abandonment equipment, and structures.
We are currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our Riser team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that focuses on upstream oil & gas, specifically for the supply of HP drilling risers and tensioning equipment for jack-up drilling rigs.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage projects from initiation to closure, ensuring monitoring and control are exercised.
- Implement projects according to contract terms, project goals, and objectives.
- Ensure project definition is clear, clarifying scope, estimates, and assumptions with the sales team.
- Prepare project plans, schedules, and risk management plans.
- Proactively manage project change, including variation orders and concession requests.
- Ensure project procurements are considered in terms of cost, time, and quality.
- Understand project commercial drivers and costs, controlling activities to limit adverse impact on project finances.
- Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering or 5 years' experience in an Engineering environment in upstream oil & gas.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office 365 and other Microsoft software.
- Application of HP drilling riser products and services in the upstream oil & gas sector is an advantage.
- Project management, quality management systems, health and safety, safe systems of work, and legal requirements.
- Project financing and commercial drivers experience.
- Demonstrable experience in project management while adhering to ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Valid passport and full UK driving license. Current Offshore Survival and Medical Certification is preferred.
- Willing to travel overseas occasionally.
