Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Management Expert to join our team at East Ayrshire Council. As Depute Head of Finance, you will play a key role in the administration of the council's financial affairs, working closely with the Accountable Officer and other stakeholders to ensure the effective management of public funds.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Depute Chief Financial Officer in terms of Section 95 of the Local Government (Scotland) Act
- Deputise for the Accountable Officer for the Ayrshire Growth where necessary
- Promote and deliver excellent financial management to safeguard public money and ensure its appropriate use
- Assist with the promotion, delivery, and integration of key objectives in relation to the Corporate Service Support Plan and the Community Plan
