About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Development Underwriter to join our team at The Opportunity Hub UK. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for underwriting a profitable book of business, working closely with a panel of brokers to develop and grow our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Develop and underwrite new business opportunities, identifying and pursuing new markets and revenue streams.
  • Underwriting Renewals: Manage and underwrite renewal business, ensuring seamless transitions and maintaining strong relationships with our broker partners.
  • Broker Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with our panel of brokers, providing exceptional service and support to drive business growth.
  • Customer Service: Provide outstanding service to our customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • System Maintenance: Maintain accurate systems and documentation, producing reports as required to support business decision-making.
Requirements
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Broker Relationships: Existing relationships with a number of brokers in the UK, including London.
  • Advanced Skills: Advanced communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, with the ability to work with a variety of systems and identify efficiencies in business processes.
  • Qualifications: ACII qualified or equivalent.
