About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Peer Support Worker to join our Community Mental Health team at West London NHS Trust. As a Senior Peer Support Worker, you will provide formalized peer support and practical assistance to help individuals engage with their local communities and access available support services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide peer support and guidance to individuals with mental health needs
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver community-based support services
- Develop and maintain relationships with local community groups and organizations
- Contribute to the development of innovative support structures and interventions
Requirements
- Formal peer support accredited training
- Completion of peer support work competencies as defined by ImROC
- Personal lived experience of mental health distress
- Personal experience of accessing primary or secondary mental health services
