About the Role:

RPS is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to join our Water Consulting business. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver and build upon our existing frameworks and relationships with utility companies across Scotland.

About the Team:

RPS Water Consulting is a team of Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts providing Asset Management and Operational Strategy development to our Water Industry clients. We support business planning and delivery, and this is an evolving industry that requires innovation, dedication, and teamwork to meet our clients' needs.

About You:

As a key member of the Water Consulting business, your role as Delivery Manager is critical to helping us deliver great projects for our Water Industry clients. You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of water project experts on a range of capital delivery projects.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage the TMC delivery programme within our Water Consultancy business.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service to our external and internal customers.
  • Manage the health, safety, and well-being of our field-based teams.
  • Safety, ethics, integrity, and the environment – always embraces and upholds RPS's high professional standards.
  • Manage the day-to-day running of field staff members initially, with a view to this increasing in line with our growth plan.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Clean Water Networks – knowledge and understanding of network hydraulics and asset types found on these networks.
  • Experienced in highway working NRSWA Signing Lighting & Guarding qualification.
  • Experience and awareness of managing work in high-risk environments highways.
  • Team leadership – experience of successfully leading integrated/blended/diverse/multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex project outputs and programme outcomes.
  • Communication – high emotional intelligence – listens and questions effectively, concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strive to exceed client aspirations and are goal-driven.
  • You will have extensive experience in the leadership and management of field-based teams, ideally gained in the utility service industry or similar and will have the ability to deliver results in an often unpredictable, operational environment.
  • You will have proven experience managing performance and be able to implement change.
  • Proficient in the use of the MS Office suite, work management systems and applications are essential.
  • Demonstrable track record of reliability and flexibility.

Qualifications:

  • A degree qualified in a relevant subject is desirable although significant previous experience will be considered.
  • IOSH managing safely.
  • A full UK driving license is also essential.
