Education Assistants for Young People

We are seeking experienced Educational Assistants to provide valuable support to young people with SEMH needs in SEN schools across South Manchester.
Candidates should possess strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
The successful applicant will provide academic support in Maths, English, and Science, while contributing to the development of tailored plans to meet individual student needs.
- Academic Support: Provide additional support to students in mainstream classrooms, alternative provisions, or one-to-one settings.
- Relationship Building: Establish positive relationships with students, promoting trust and confidence in learning.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to share expertise and develop effective educational strategies.
- Experience: Previous experience in secondary schools, with a background in SEMH support or Youth Work.
- DBS on Update Service: A valid DBS registered on the update service is essential.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Contract Length: Opportunity to secure a long-term, full-time contract with GSL Education.
A salary range of $24,907 - £40,322 per annum reflects the importance of this role in supporting young people's educational journeys.
