Key Responsibilities:
- Drive quality, efficiency, and productivity throughout the DC Team, leading by example, identifying areas of positive change, cost reduction opportunities, and continuously finding solutions for removing waste in the operation.
- Lead daily operations across all DC functions, including inbound, storage, replenishment, picking, packing, and customer-added value for both eCommerce and B2B channels.
- Conduct start, middle, and end-of-day briefings with operatives, setting clear expectations and deliverables, and review performance results.
- Collaborate with the Distribution Centre Controller to plan resources based on customer demand and ensure efficient allocation.
Team Development and Culture:
- Foster a strong team culture that aligns with the company's values and promotes outstanding customer experiences.

Quality Assurance and Inventory Management:

Site Security and Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, housekeeping, and internal and external communication protocols.
- Take immediate action to resolve site issues and report incidents to the Distribution Centre Controller or General Manager.
Performance Reporting:
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide updates at weekly management meetings.
- Analyse operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures.
- Manage returns processes, ensuring speed, accuracy, and handling returned items correctly.
About You:
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams in a distribution or warehouse environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate team members and provide constructive feedback.
- Strong decision-making skills with a fair and empathetic approach to managing team dynamics.
- Hands-on experience in multi-channel distribution operations, including eCommerce, B2B, and 3rd party logistics.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, order processing, and quality assurance procedures.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using inventory and analytics tools to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP software.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations, compliance, and site security protocols.
