Job Overview

This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, multimedia news content across LBC. The ideal candidate will have outstanding editorial and storytelling skills, with the ability to produce, film, and edit standout video journalism.

The successful candidate will work closely with LBC's Head of Video to develop a strategy for creating engaging video content that appeals to the station's core audiences and attracts new ones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce, film, and edit video content for LBC's news website, social feeds, and Global Player.
  • Work with LBC's award-winning reporters and presenters to create video exclusives and live-stream video content.
  • Develop flexible workflows to enable LBC to stay ahead of the field in digital news gathering.
  • Collaborate with the video, digital, and social teams to create a strategy for video content that has the biggest impact.
  • Lead shoots and productions, complete risk assessments, and prioritize kit and crew.
  • Manage multiple requests simultaneously and seek internal or external resource where appropriate.
Requirements
  • An extensive knowledge of all aspects of video production techniques and workflows.
  • Experience of editing on Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
  • An in-depth knowledge and passion for the political landscape.
  • A journalism qualification or relatable newsroom experience with strong knowledge of Contempt/Libel/Copyright/Privacy laws as well as understanding of Ofcom guidelines and digital compliance.
