About the Role

As a Kitchen Assistant at HC-One, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality in our care homes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the preparation and service of nutritious, healthy meals to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in food preparation, including meal planning, food storage, and food handling.
  • Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Support the kitchen team in maintaining food supplies, fridge/freezer temperatures, and equipment.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, responding to their dietary needs and preferences.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to maintain a positive and efficient working environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role.
  • NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or willingness to study for one.
  • Excellent record-keeping and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain high standards of food quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
