Role Overview

As a Legal Entity Controller, you will play a crucial role in the delivery and central control of accurate and timely external reporting and audit for our international reinsurance division. This position requires a qualified Accountant with experience in UK GAAP/US GAAP/IFRS and a strong understanding of the reinsurance business at a legal entity level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support with external financial reporting requirements for the international reinsurance division
  • Preparation of statutory, regulatory and board reporting of the international reinsurance entities
  • Support with the set up and maintenance of a central statutory adjustment ledger for our international entities
  • Investigation and documentation of accounting differences between local GAAP and US GAAP
  • Work closely with our external auditors both in the UK and internationally during the audit process, coordinating where appropriate
  • Build key relationships with the wider Finance and Tax teams and across our Reinsurance division internationally
  • Support with ad-hoc projects

About You
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CA/CIMA or equivalent)
  • UK GAAP/US GAAP/IFRS experience preferable
  • Experience gained within a large accounting/audit firm is desirable
  • Strong technical accounting skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Eligible to work in the UK
