About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Tax Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our tax department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of corporate tax returns and computations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of corporation tax computations and returns for a designated portfolio of clients.
  • Support the corporation tax compliance cycle, including tracking and managing filing and payment deadlines.
  • Integrate with the audit process where necessary to assist in preparing tax provisions and disclosures for statutory accounts.
  • Use tax software to prepare and generate tax returns and computations, with training provided as needed.
Client Liaison

You will be responsible for communicating with clients to gather necessary information for tax compliance and to respond to routine tax queries. You will also prepare draft correspondence to clients concerning their tax affairs, under the supervision of senior staff.

HMRC Interaction

You will assist in preparing responses to HMRC enquiries into clients' tax matters and liaise with HMRC on routine and general client matters, ensuring professional communication.

Training and Development

We offer comprehensive training in tax software and compliance processes, as well as opportunities to advance to more senior roles within the tax team. You will also have the chance to participate in internal training sessions and presentations to develop your technical tax knowledge.

Requirements
  • At least one year of experience in a tax-related role, ideally with some exposure to corporation tax.
  • Part-qualified ATT or similar qualification, with a commitment to further study (e.g., CTA).
  • Basic understanding of corporation tax compliance and related accounting principles.
  • High level of accuracy in preparing tax returns and managing compliance records.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word, and tax software.
