Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant in a SEND school in Bootle, Liverpool.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to work with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and make a positive impact on their lives.

As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing individualized support to children with a range of SEND, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and complex needs.

  • Providing Support: Offer support to children with SEND, enabling them to achieve their full potential and participate fully in school life.
  • Assisting Teachers: Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual needs, ensuring that all children have access to a high-quality education.
  • Maintaining a Positive Environment: Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes positive relationships among pupils, staff, and parents.

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEND is highly desirable for this role.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are necessary to work effectively with children, staff, and parents.
  • Enhanced DBS: An enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required for this role.

Salary: £22,500 - £27,500 per annum (dependent on experience)

Location: Bootle, Liverpool
