Conveyancing Lawyer Assistant

Service Care Solutions is a leading provider of legal services, currently partnering with a well-established law firm and estate agency in the South of Scotland. With thirteen offices across the Scottish Borders and Dumfries & Galloway, our partner organisation offers an exceptional opportunity for growth and development.

The role we are seeking to fill involves supporting a busy conveyancing team at one of our partner's offices in Galashiels or Peebles. This exciting opportunity has arisen due to business expansion, allowing us to support the department in all aspects of conveyancing.

We are looking for a highly skilled paralegal to join our team, bringing their expertise in drafting and submitting written offers, managing client communication, and administering tasks throughout the conveyancing process. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, a thorough understanding of conveyancing procedures, and previous experience working with clients and third parties in this context.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting and submitting written offers, noting interest, and following up as needed.
• Maintaining direct communication with clients, lenders, estate agents, and other third parties.
• Managing administrative tasks across all stages of transactions, from opening files to finalizing lender requirements.
• Submitting LBTT Returns and using the Registers of Scotland online system.

Ideal Candidate:

• Currently working as a conveyancing paralegal.
• Conveyancing accreditation is preferred but not essential.
• Strong administrative skills with a thorough understanding of the conveyancing process.
• Previous experience working with clients and third parties in a conveyancing context.

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
