This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your expertise of Mechanical Engineering within the Electrical Engineering sector and contribute to innovative solutions. You will work collaboratively with Laboratory and Industrialisation teams to lead the design and development of Engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

">
  • Lead the design and development of Engineering projects, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives.
  • Apply DFx principles (Cost, Manufacture, Assembly, Test) to enhance product development.
  • Oversee internal and external testing with the Laboratories team.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve product issues and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including design files and Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise product quality and cost efficiency.

Requirements

">
  • HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or similar).
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software.
  • Experience in Mechanical product design and strong understanding of engineering drawings.
  • Technical expertise in material strengths and engineering processes to facilitate effective design for manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with relevant IEC standards.
  • UK rights to work (sponsorship cannot be provided).

What We Offer

  • Estimated salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum.
  • Hybrid working arrangement (2 in, 3 out).
  • Up to 10% bonus.
  • 7% pension scheme.
