Main Responsibilities

  • To safely and efficiently transport materials and equipment required for the business
  • Performing deliveries and collections to and from customer sites, and other locations as needed
  • Representing the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times to customers, the general public, and other road users
  • Ensuring equipment is loaded/unloaded in a safe manner
  • Verifying that the total payload does not exceed the vehicle's weight limit
  • Using approved methods to secure the load of the vehicle
  • Checking paperwork to ensure delivery/collection loads are accurate
  • Ensuring all equipment on the vehicle is accounted for
  • Visually inspecting equipment being loaded and unloaded
  • Working with various companies throughout East Sussex

Qualifications and Experience

  • Holds a full clean driving license valid in the UK, with no more than 6 points on the license
  • Holds a HGV driving license
  • Holds a CPC license
  • Holds a HIAB license with hook and brick grab
  • Holds a Digi Tacho Card
  • Must have experience driving a 26-tonne vehicle
  • Good personal presentation
  • Able to perform manual handling tasks

Working Hours

  • Mondays to Fridays
  • Hours between 6am to 6pm
  • The position is ongoing for the right candidate
