Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our UK South Construction business unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the estimated cost of projects is prepared accurately and consistently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Log tender documents, addendums, client correspondence etc., on the server and issue copies to relevant team members.
  • Develop sub-contractor enquiry schedules, obtaining feedback from the tender team and procurement department.
  • Issue sub-contract enquiries, including scope of works and attendance schedules where applicable.
  • Establish competition and arrange production of B/Q's or B/Q shares as required.
  • Analyse nett tender package returns and complete sub-contractor analysis schedule for adjudication.

Management Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the training and development of Estimators and Assistant/Graduate Estimators.
  • Drive through actions and activities identified in individual development plans with direct reports.
  • Manage bid budgets to ensure they remain within budget.
  • Conduct regular tender reviews and review the risk register on bids.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills to evaluate detailed specifications, cost, and risk.
  • Detailed knowledge of latest processes, materials, and costs.
  • Familiarity with Conquest/Causeway/Coins estimating software.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Salary:£60,000 - £80,000 per annum
