We are seeking an Educational Support Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions to help children and young people in care.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher or tutor with experience working with looked after children (LAC) and vulnerable young people.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing personalized tutoring in core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science.
  2. Working closely with social workers, carers, and educational professionals to monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies.
  3. Preparing students for exams and helping them develop study skills and strategies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS), PTTLS, or relevant tutoring experience in a similar role with at least a B.Ed, MA or PhD.
  2. Experience working with LAC or vulnerable young people is highly desirable.
  3. Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping young people succeed.
  4. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

The salary for this position is £25-35 per hour (PAYE).
