Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Test and Commissioning Specialist to join our team at Txm Recruit Ltd in Newton Aycliffe. This role will involve undertaking test and commissioning, maintenance, servicing and repair of rolling stock assets.

The ideal candidate will have experience in rolling stock test and commissioning, as well as knowledge of TCMS, OTMR data downloading, Pneumatics and Rolling Stock Brake Systems. Computer Networks and Distributed Input/Output systems experience is also desired.

This is a contract role, paying £31.80 per hour. The successful candidate will be able to work in a high-pressure environment and develop strong working relationships with colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out dynamic testing for test trains before release into service.
  • Complete complex tasks such as troubleshooting, testing, quality control, tuning and repairs.
  • Complete accurate test reports, internal adjustments and pending job information.
  • Verify electrical and mechanical systems installation and integrity.
  • Perform maintenance and fault rectification tasks on train borne test equipment.
  • Report test data to stakeholders.
  • Liaise with systems experts in Engineering to progress commissioning issues.
