Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team on a temporary to permanent basis. As an LSA, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to students with ASD, helping them overcome challenges, and facilitating their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with ASD, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs), ensuring students receive tailored support.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting social skills and emotional well-being.
  • Support students in developing essential life skills, such as communication, independence, and self-advocacy.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and therapists to meet students' unique needs, ensuring a comprehensive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on students' progress to the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), ensuring accurate and timely feedback.
Requirements:
  • A genuine passion for working with children and young adults with ASD, with a commitment to providing high-quality support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach, with a focus on promoting students' emotional well-being and self-esteem.
  • The ability to work effectively within a team, with a commitment to collaboration and mutual support.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or relevant qualifications, with a focus on supporting students with ASD.
