About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative at our SPAR convenience store in Trevethin; Pontypool. As a key member of our store team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service:
  • Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, providing a positive and personalized experience.
  • Answer customer inquiries about products and services, and assist customers in finding the items they need.
  • Process customer purchases efficiently and accurately through the tills, maintaining a high level of service quality.
  • Upsell selected products to customers and highlight multi-buy offers to maximize sales.

Store Operations:

  • Work stock, checking deliveries, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and organized sales floor.
  • Complete additional assigned tasks, such as date checking, stock and gap checking, price changes, promotional displays, and other tasks as required.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring a high level of service quality and store appearance.

Key Skills and Knowledge:

  • Previous experience in a similar role and/or industry is preferred.
  • Reliable and detail-oriented, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of legislative responsibilities in a retail environment and the skills to assist with adherence.
  • Ability to contribute ideas for delivering exceptional customer service and driving business growth.
  • Previous cash handling experience is preferred but not essential.
