As a key member of the Eurofins PSS Ireland Ltd team, you will play a vital role in supporting the analysis of pharmaceutical drug products for early-stage projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in pharmaceutical analysis and method development.

About the Job

This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract position working a 37-hour flexible week from Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine and non-routine analysis using traditional and modern analytical techniques.

The estimated salary for this role is €50,000 - €65,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform routine and non-routine analysis using HPLC, dissolution, KF, and spectroscopic analysis as required by the Lead Scientist or customer representative.
  2. Support development and validation of analytical procedures used for drug products in line with experience.
  3. Work with a high level of flexibility due to the nature of the service area where project demands regularly change.
  4. Support work activities across multiple projects.
  5. Ability to think logically with the ability to plan own work.
  6. Effectively collaborate and communicate scientific ideas to both internal and external partners.
  7. To prepare and approve results for tests in which they have received the appropriate training and are deemed competent.
  8. Support the authoring of documentation.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Relevant practical lab skills, as well as experience of key analytical techniques (HPLC, Dissolution, KF, Particle Size Analysis, and pH).
  • Analytical method development and validation skills would be beneficial.
  • Understanding in conducting forced degradation studies.
  • Experienced in operating in a GMP environment.
  • Proven ability to work with a high level of flexibility, and ownership and understanding where to apply capacity pro-actively.
  • Experience of handling Drug Products – Tablets and Parenterals.
  • Ability to use literature databases.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on detail.
