About the Role
As a skilled Automotive Repair Specialist at Steer Automotive Group Ltd, you will be working with various customer vehicles, including electric and hybrid models. Your responsibilities will include preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed, mixing paint to match vehicle colour, applying it using spray guns and other equipment, running our spray booth, ensuring paint jobs meet quality standards, and collaborating with team members to meet deadlines.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed.
  • Mix paint to match vehicle colour.
  • Apply paint using spray guns and other equipment.
  • Run our spray booth.
  • Evaluate paint jobs against quality standards.


**Requirements:
We are looking for a candidate with previous experience as a Vehicle Prep/Paint Technician or similar role, knowledge of automotive painting techniques and materials, ability to use paint mixing equipment and spray guns effectively, understanding of the accident repair industry, excellent attention to detail, commitment to quality, and strong communication and teamwork skills. Ideally, you should hold ATA/NVQ qualifications, which we will support in renewing.
