About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Academic Mentor to join our team at Red Kite School in Princes Risborough. As a dynamic and motivated qualified Teacher, you will have every opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of pupils with social and emotional health needs.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging learning on a daily basis, developing innovative methods that stimulate interest and excitement in the classroom. You will work closely with students to help them flourish and thrive, observing, monitoring, and assessing their progress to ensure their personal development and wellbeing are as important as the academic curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Learning: Inspire and motivate students in the delivery of the curriculum across year groups, taking responsibility and accountability for their academic outcomes.
  • Pastoral Care: Contribute to the pastoral care of students, supporting their spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development.
  • Safeguarding: Participate in Safeguarding and Team Teach training, ensuring vigilance of students' wellbeing and welfare in all interactions.
