About the Role:


The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs for service technicians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Contribute to the development of annual training plans and deliver a wide range of training content to service technicians.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to build confidence in trainee delivery and answer a range of questions.
  • Apply all steps in the training cycle, advising service managers and technicians on personal development opportunities, supporting training needs analysis, and prioritizing needs.
  • Gather information from the business to support continuous improvement of Survitec service technician training.
  • Deliver training effectively, breaking down topics into manageable building blocks, managing pace, and complexity with the skills base and language needs of the audience.
  • Drive and support competence assessment activity, providing coaching and support to develop technicians' understanding and application of materials covered.
  • Maintain training records, issue, and record certificates in collaboration with the training coordinator.
  • Carry out training records audits, ensuring information is up-to-date and accurate, flagging requirements for refresher.
  • Participate in personal skills reviews and formal assessments to maintain own competence record when schedule allows.
  • Support the technician community of practice, providing subject matter expertise, and assisting technicians to share best practice.
  • Utilize practical work experience to review and update key processes, standards, and training content.
  • Identify instances of non-conformance or non-compliance, report, and escalate appropriately, working with local teams to problem-solve and continuously improve within areas of expertise.
  • Assist with service operations incident investigation and implement actions from incident and incident management learning.

About You:


To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, exceptional ability to retain and recall vast amounts of information, and strong mechanical aptitude, including the ability to understand, operate, and troubleshoot mechanical systems and equipment.


You should also be able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, take initiative, and manage tasks independently, while recognizing when to seek guidance or clarification. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential, as well as a proactive approach to learning and skill development.


A salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, is offered, plus a range of benefits, including a competitive pension scheme, life insurance, and access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
