Sales Engineer

At Dataiku, we're pioneering the future of AI with a platform that makes data actionable and accessible. As a Sales Engineer, you'll be part of a team that has closed some of Dataiku's most important sales with companies whose names you hear and products you use every day. Your role will be to collaborate with Account Executives, Business Development Representatives, and sales management to qualify deals and articulate the business value of our platform to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Qualify deals through collaboration with Account Executives, Business Development Representatives, and sales management
- Conduct Discovery meetings to learn from customers and Business Development Representatives about customer business requirements and technical environments
- Articulate usage scenarios that illustrate the business value desired by customers
- Use Dataiku to demonstrate the business value articulated in usage scenarios
- Design and create Dataiku demonstrations, Proofs-of-Concept, and evaluations to illustrate how to apply our platform to deliver customer value
- Execute demonstrations, Proofs-of-Concept, and evaluations through coordination of physical and human resources of Dataiku and customers
- Provide technical guidance to customers' technical teams regarding demonstrated or evaluated solutions
- Participate in sales pipeline building activities, including attendance at trade-shows and industry conferences, and assist in campaign design and execution
Requirements:
- Strong natural and intellectual curiosity around the application of technology to solve problems, with the confidence to ask deep questions to understand prospective customers' current and desired future states
- Experience in technical pre-sales, preferably in a high-growth environment
- Experience in value-oriented selling of product and platform solutions
- Familiarity with data storage and computing infrastructure for data of all sizes (SQL, NoSQL, Kubernetes, Spark, etc.)
- Comfortability talking to all levels of customer teams from individual contributors to C-level executives
