Healthcare Support Professional

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Healthcare Support Professional to join our team at Butetown Medical Practice. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide essential support to our healthcare professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities
- Phlebotomy and blood sample collection
- Supporting the practice nurse and GPs with the management of chronic disease clinics
- Undertaking ECGs and other clinical procedures
- Healthcare Checks, including measuring and recording patient data
- Immunizations and participation in NHS seasonal health campaigns
- Wound care and dressing
- Chaperoned duties when required
- Stock ordering and management
- Ensuring fridges are cleaned and stocked routinely
Requirements
- Education and Qualifications: Healthcare qualification or equivalent level
- Excellent communication and administrative skills
- Computer Literacy
- Phlebotomy certificate
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting
- Relevant experience working in primary care
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, Excellent organizational skills, Effective time management, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Ability to follow procedures, policies and guidelines, Ability to work as a team and autonomously, Competent in use of Clinical IT system
- Personal Qualities: Enthusiastic and self-motivated, Flexible and adaptable, Ability to work under pressure, Good organizational skills, Compassionate, Professional
