Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join Cummins Inc. specializing in service for power generation products in the field.

This is a permanent contract working day shift, Monday to Friday.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field.

• Escalate unresolved issues to product specialists / Supervisor.

• Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.

• Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.

• Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.

• Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.

• The ability to work with minimal supervision Installation.

• Ability to accurately diagnose faults.

• Accurate and timely completion of Service Documentation.

• Highlight upsell opportunities to the Customer and ensure that any rejected opportunities are evident on the Service Worksheet before Customer signature.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Minimum of 3 years experience diagnosing and repairing of Power Generation equipment.

• Mechanical / Electrical experience.

• 18th Edition Electrical qualification preferred.

• Electrical Theory and Troubleshooting.

• Minimum of City & Guilds or equivalent in electrical engineering.

• LV/HV Switchgear experience preferred but not essential.

• Experience in PLC control systems preferred but not essential.

• Flexibility to work across the UK from time to time.

• 24/7 Call Out Rota (1 in 5 Week Coverage)
