Job Title: Geologist

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Geologist to join our team at Viridien. As a Geologist, you will play a crucial role in generating and interpreting geological data, compiling and synthesizing results, and contributing to exciting projects in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply geoscience skills and palynological knowledge to analyze and interpret geological data across diverse geographies and stratigraphic ages.
• Independently review and integrate biostratigraphic data, providing insightful interpretations and sequence stratigraphic correlations using software like Stratabugs and IC.
• Create professional reports summarizing findings, delivering valuable insights into basin evolution, regional geology, stratigraphy, and palynology.
• Coordinate and manage projects involving diverse data sets and stakeholders, ensuring adherence to deadlines and objectives.
• Demonstrate exceptional research skills, actively engaging with current geoscience topics and applying knowledge to practical solutions.
• Mentor and coach junior staff, fostering their professional development.
• Stay at the forefront of the field by identifying and implementing data and technology advancements that optimize processes and drive commercial success.

Qualifications:

• Education to Degree, Masters or PhD degree level in Geology or Stratigraphy.
• Passion and enthusiasm for science, geology, and problem-solving challenges.
• Ability to demonstrate experience in data interpretation.
• Ability to build and develop positive client relationships.
• Ability to successfully manage and deliver on project deadlines.
• Open communication and collaboration with teams and clients.
• Enthusiastic attitude towards learning and flexibility to adapt to new challenges or changes in direction.
