Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Grant Manager to join our team at the University of Southampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the grant management aspects of the AHRC Hub for Public Engagement with Music Research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the administration of the funding call, peer review process, selection panels/discussions, and outcomes communication.
  • Manage post-award grant maintenance of the funded project.
  • Work with the team and partners to develop and deliver a range of events and training activities.
  • Collaborate with the University of Southampton academic team, external co-lead, Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Manager, spoke project teams, and colleagues from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities Finance team.
Requirements
  • Experience in grant and/or research project management.
  • Proven experience of supporting research projects in specialist fields and assisting research teams to apply for funding.
  • Awareness of national and international funding landscapes and peer review processes.
  • Knowledge of public engagement and academic research.
  • Understanding of the music/arts sector and/or research field is desirable.
  • Commitment to applying and promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion principles.
