Nursery Practitioner Opportunity

This is a fantastic chance to work with a reputable nursery in Hounslow, seeking a qualified Nursery Practitioner to contribute to their team. The nursery is conveniently located near local transport links, shops, and cafes, making it an ideal place to work and live.

The nursery has invested in creating a safe and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn. From mud kitchens to vegetable gardens, library, and computer suite, they provide a unique opportunity for children to develop their skills and interests.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. You will plan and lead activities that promote children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development, including play, arts and crafts, storytelling, and outdoor exploration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment by actively supervising children at all times, both indoors and outdoors
  • Assist with personal care routines, such as feeding, changing nappies, and promoting good hygiene practices
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication, ensuring parents are kept informed about their child's progress
  • Observe children's behaviour and development, documenting observations and providing feedback to support individualized learning plans

Requirements:

  • Recognised Level 2 Childcare qualification
  • Previous experience of working in a childcare setting
  • Able to collaborate with other nursery staff to create a cohesive and supportive team environment, sharing ideas and resources to enhance the nursery experience for children and families
  • Desire to participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in early years education and childcare practices
