Position Overview:

We are seeking a Claims Data Enhancement Manager to be an integral part of our First Party Claims leadership team, focusing on advancing our strategy to achieve exceptional customer and business results.

This role is crucial for evaluating performance metrics, pinpointing strategic opportunities, and overseeing the execution of initiatives aimed at improving departmental performance.

Your success will stem from utilizing data to refine operational workflows, crafting compelling cases for transformation, and bolstering our future capacity modeling capabilities. Our team comprises over 100 professionals across multiple locations, including areas such as repair progression, total loss, fire & theft, and motor engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing data-driven insights to enhance the performance, efficiency, and quality of the department.
  • Projecting future departmental performance through various key metrics.
  • Monitoring and assessing performance against established plans, proposing enhancements, and executing solutions.
  • Developing a capacity model to forecast future needs, simulate 'what if' scenarios, and identify trends, opportunities, and risks.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Employing operational data to construct compelling cases for change and implementing solutions that elevate overall departmental performance.
  • Establishing mechanisms to forecast a range of claims performance metrics.
  • Evaluating operational performance against plans and tracking actual versus forecast across all key metrics.
  • Monitoring various resource-related data, including attrition, overtime, and shrinkage.
  • Advising the leadership team on actions to optimize performance, enhance efficiency, and boost employee engagement.
  • Gaining a deep understanding of our claims data related to resource management, claims workflow, and settlement outcomes.
  • Innovating methods for measuring, analyzing, and presenting various claims and resource data in collaboration with our data analysts.
  • Developing comprehensive knowledge of our first party claims operations and processes.
  • Working closely with group resource planning, training, finance, and data analytics teams.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with managers, team leaders, and handlers across the function.
  • Creating a capacity plan to forecast future resource requirements, tracking variance against budget, and providing 'what if' scenario planning.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Proficient in handling, analyzing, and presenting substantial amounts of data and metrics related to telephony, resources, and claims.
  • Experience in performance reporting and project management.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present plans and data in a clear and engaging manner tailored to the audience.
  • Capability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders utilizing leadership skills.
  • Adaptability to change and a proactive approach to implementing new working methods.
