A Wilderness Way is seeking a dedicated Child Mental Health Specialist to join our Health and Wellbeing Team. In this role, you will work directly with children and adolescents affected by trauma, providing individual and group therapy sessions. You will work closely with our team to develop personalized care plans and deliver therapeutic training to our staff. Your expertise will be essential in helping us create a trauma-responsive environment for our children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing direct therapeutic support to children and adolescents
  • Developing and implementing personalized care plans
  • Delivering therapeutic training to our staff
  • Working closely with our Health and Wellbeing Team to create a trauma-responsive environment

Requirements:

  • UKCP/BACP registration and a qualification in counselling, level 4 or above
  • Substantial experience of working directly with children in a psychology or counselling capacity
  • Excellent skills in safeguarding children
  • A full, valid, UK driving licence and access to your own transport
