About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Officer to join our team at Kent and Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust. As a Locum Specialty Doctor, you will provide senior medical input to our community mental health service, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide initial assessments and follow-up reviews for patients requiring short-term input from the team
  • Conduct CPA Reviews for patients with long-term needs on the enhanced CPA Pathway
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Contribute to the development of our community mental health service, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient outcomes

Person Specification
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Approved under S12 or able to achieve with 6 months of appointment
  • At least 4 years postgraduate experience, including at least 2 years in core psychiatry training programme
  • Good knowledge in specialty and good clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge
