About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Piling Engineer to join our team at PWS Technical Services (UK) LTD. As a key member of our design and estimating team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality designs and estimates for piling and foundations projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver piling designs and estimates for various projects, utilizing your expertise in geotechnical analysis and software packages.
  • Collaborate with designers, clients, and main contractors to optimize engineering solutions and ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Conduct geotechnical analysis and prepare reports for clients, utilizing in-house and commercially available software.
  • Cost, budget, tender, negotiate, and secure orders for contracts, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Prepare settlement packs, contract design documents, drawings, and schedules for review and approval.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, including H&S, geotechnical, and commercial aspects, to ensure project success.
  • Liaise with the operations team during the installation phase and produce as-built documentation post-construction.
  • Develop long-lasting relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and growth.
  • Coordinate and respond to client requests, leveraging experience from colleagues and collaborating with other business units.
  • Continuously develop your professional skills and knowledge to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements
  • Eligibility to work in the UK with a valid work permit.
  • Experience in undertaking pile designs or estimates using appropriate software packages.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate complex technical matters clearly and simply, both in writing and verbally.
  • Results-driven, with a strong ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Effective negotiation skills with internal and external clients and teams.
