Role Overview:

Verian Group is in search of a Financial Systems Specialist to enhance our recently implemented SAP-based ERP system. This role is crucial for the next stage of system optimization and the ongoing management of our financial systems and processes.

The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience with SAP's S/4HANA Public Cloud system, coupled with a solid foundation in both technical and financial domains. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of our S/4HANA and Success Factors systems. Collaborating with our finance teams and various business users, you will be instrumental in aligning the system's capabilities with our operational needs and growth objectives. Your role will also involve providing technical support, fostering relationships with colleagues and external partners, and contributing to training and guidance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the utilization and enhancement of the S/4HANA system, ensuring alignment with Verian Group's strategic objectives.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, delivering first-line technical support to the Finance Team and broader organization, while minimizing reliance on external support.
  • Assist the Finance Team in the timely execution of financial and accounting tasks, including reporting.
  • Execute system-related tasks directly.
  • Support both scheduled and on-demand data analysis and reporting needs.
  • Provide assistance to finance and other colleagues regarding business inquiries.
  • Facilitate ongoing business process improvements by collaborating with colleagues to identify best practices, gaps, and solutions.
  • Ensure all system developments and modifications maintain overall design integrity and avoid unintended consequences.
  • Deliver end-user training and help create and maintain guidance materials.
  • Oversee the complete Master Data lifecycle, including creation, maintenance, and retirement.
  • Manage the change request process and oversee the design, approval, and implementation of system configuration changes.
  • Contribute to the management of external partners and suppliers.
  • Assist in managing licenses and service costs.
  • Work with the Finance Team to ensure thorough documentation of operational procedures and compliance.
  • Lead system upgrades and implementations, providing expertise and support.
  • Advise on and implement scheduled S/4HANA Public Cloud patches and updates.
  • Support the efficiency and functionality of related SAP systems (Concur, Sales Cloud, Success Factors) and other relevant software.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with S4 Hana and ideally relevant certifications. A minimum of 3 years of experience with SAP Products and the S/4HANA Public Cloud system.
  • Background in SAP Professional Services.
  • Experience supporting the business use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Familiarity with Finance Teams and key financial concepts and activities.
  • Strong aptitude for financial processes and data management.
  • Experience working with financial data, models, and systems.
  • Experience collaborating with external partners, including offshore BPOs.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in virtual teams across various time zones.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn and tackle new challenges.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities.
