Job Title: Class 1 Container Driver

Gi Group is seeking a dedicated Class 1 Driver to join our team for long-term employment. As a Class 1 Driver specializing in container transport, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive Class 1 vehicles for container transport, adhering to all road safety regulations.
  • Ensure the secure loading and unloading of containers, following safety guidelines.
  • Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules and meet customer requirements.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, colleagues, and customers.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and all relevant legislation.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Valid Class 1 driving license with relevant certifications.
  • Previous experience in container transport preferred.
  • Clean driving record and a commitment to safe driving practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Shifts and Hours:

Monday to Friday, day shifts available, guaranteed 40 hours per week based on average 50 hours per week.
