Highly Specialist Paediatric Dietitian Role

Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly specialist paediatric dietitian to join the dietetic team at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals Trust (BHRUT) to work alongside another part-time band 7 paediatric dietitian for 15 hours per week.
Linking closely with the wider paediatric multidisciplinary teams, with support from WTE band 6's and 1 WTE band 5, the successful candidate will cover in-patient work in NICU and the paediatric ward, as well as a weekly out-patient clinic.
The post holder will share the supervision of the band 6 paediatric dietitians.
We are a progressive, forward-thinking Trust, and you will be expected to take an active role in the training of dietetic, medical, and nursing staff, service development, and service improvement, including audit.
This is a post for an ambitious, innovative, and motivated team player with excellent communication skills, who is also able to work independently.
Main Duties of the Job
To work as a member of the dietetic department, providing highly specialist advice, education, and support to patients, carers, and other health professionals within paediatrics at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Trust (BHRUT).
To be responsible for providing specialist nutritional care, including assessment, dietary therapy, and monitoring to neonates and paediatric patients and their carers.
To act as an expert resource on paediatric nutrition and educate and train dietetic students and other healthcare professionals across the organization.
To be actively involved in the organization's clinical governance activities and take a lead responsibility for ensuring continuing professional development, audit, research, and service development activities within own specialist area.
To deputise in the absence of senior colleagues as required.
